Mental hurdle number one, taken care of. I just sent out the first two episodes to be reviewed by some of my closest friends. This is the first time my silly little idea will be read by anyone but me (yeah, that includes my wife). I am excited and scared all at the same time. I read it through a few times and it makes me chuckle and puts a smile on my face, so I guess that is all that really matters right now.
Where did the second episode come from you ask? Episode 1.1 proved to be massive once I put it into a real screenplay format, so I basically got episode 1.2 for free. That was a nice little bonus. After a little editing to disect it into two pieces, I stumbled onto some good ideas for episode 1.3. That really helped as my outline was a tad vague on episodes two and three. The rest of the season was already pretty much mapped out, but getting all of the characters introduced was giving me an unsually difficult time.
On a planning note, I am starting to think I may need the whole season written before I start actually putting people in front of a camera. I don't like that idea as I would like to get to that as quickly as possible, but it may be the best thing.
Regardless, this feels like a milestone. So I plan to celebrate with a little video game time tonight. Yeah, livin' large!! :)
